Breast Collars
Breast collars, pulling collars and martingales. What’s the difference?
All are built to keep your saddle in place. Breast collars wrap across the chest, most
with a tie down to the cincha. Some breast collar tugs attach high by the front string and
some lower on the saddle. Pulling breast collar tugs wrap around the swell either side
of the horn. Western martingales are shaped up the shoulder and held there by a neck strap
and have short tugs to the higher dees. Old style martingales had no tugs and were meant
for style. The tie down did help hold the cincha in place. These represented here can be
matched with design or finish to most saddles but a phone call might help accomplish that.
